Good to know
Silicone sealant cannot be painted over. Apply it only once the wall or surface has been completely finished.
Applying sealant alongside our paint finishes
Our paint finishes are breathable and can absorb moisture. Protect the paint with a suitable transparent coating first and allow it to dry completely. This prevents the smoothing agent from causing stains or colour variations.
Applying sealant alongside Microcement
Microcement is already protected with a specialist coating. Allow the coating to cure fully for at least five days before applying and smoothing the sealant as usual.
Check the adhesion
Every substrate is different. Test the sealant on an inconspicuous area first to check its adhesion. The substrate must be clean, dry and free from grease.
Tip: carefully mask both sides of the joint and remove the tape immediately after smoothing. This will give you a clean, straight sealant line.
