Order Concrete effect paint colour samples

Not sure which colour to choose? With a Concrete effect paint colour sample, you can immediately see how a shade looks in real life.

Our samples are hand-painted with the original Concrete effect paint in two layers, so you can fully experience the texture and appearance of the paint.

Our concrete effect colours

The colour samples give you a realistic impression of our collection. This line is known for shades that suit Scandinavian, industrial and modern interior styles.

Think of white-grey, warm grey and soft green tones, complemented by warm taupe shades and deep concrete colours. This makes it easy to compare options and discover which colour fits your interior best.

A realistic impression of the colours

On a screen, colours often appear different from reality. With a colour sample, you can see how the paint reacts to the light in your own room. This ensures you make the right choice and avoid surprises later.

How to use a colour sample

Our samples are 6 cm wide and 15 cm long — large enough to get a clear impression of the colour and structure.

Hold the sample against your wall and view it in different lighting: daylight during the day and artificial light in the evening. This shows you exactly how the colour comes to life in your interior.

Can there be a slight colour difference between the sample and the final product?

Yes, a slight colour difference can occur between the sample and the final product. Concrete effect paint is a natural product and contains mineral ingredients.

Variations in pH value and small batch differences can cause subtle colour variations. This is part of the natural character of the paint and gives every wall its unique appearance.

Frequently asked questions about our concrete-effect paint

On which surfaces can I apply Concrete effect Paint?

Concrete effect Paint adheres best to solid, smooth surfaces such as plaster, cement, or lime-based stucco. You can also apply it on textured finishes like spachtelputz, spray plaster, or glass fleece wallpaper.

Keep in mind that coverage may be slightly higher on uneven surfaces. In principle, Concrete effect Paint can be applied to almost any surface — except those with a plastic or washable coating.

What is the difference between Lime paint and Concrete effect paint?

Lime paint and Concrete effect paint share the same base, namely lime. Both types of paint are eco-friendly and create a beautiful concrete-look finish.

Concrete effect paint is mixed to your chosen colour especially for you. The colour is created using wet pigments, based on a machine-generated formula.

Lime paint, on the other hand, is supplied with a sachet of dry pigments. This is also based on a formula, but prepared from our own pigment stock. When using Lime paint, you mix the pigments yourself with a small amount of water.

For recipes with a low amount of pigment, you can use a ratio of 50 ml of water per litre of paint. If the colour requires more pigment, use a ratio of 100 ml of water per litre of paint. With higher pigment loads, it can otherwise be quite difficult to achieve a smooth mixture. You want to avoid any lumps of pigment in your paint.

In short: both types of paint provide a beautiful finish.

Do I need a primer for Concrete effect Paint?

Yes, a primer is always necessary when applying Concrete effect Paint. It provides a neutral base and ensures that the paint adheres properly to the surface. Instead of a standard primer, use our EcoPrimer, which is specially developed for use with our paint collections, including Concrete effect Paint.

Please note that EcoPrimer is semi-transparent, so it’s important to cover the entire wall evenly, even though the primer won’t appear fully opaque.

Can I renovate quickly with Concrete effect Paint?

Absolutely! Whether you’re refreshing a shop interior or want to give your wall a new look in no time, Concrete effect Paint is exactly what you need. Start by applying a layer of EcoPrimer — at room temperature, it usually dries within a few hours.

Our insider tip: run your hand over the wall — if the EcoPrimer no longer leaves a white residue, you can start applying the Concrete effect Paint straight away.

Want to speed things up even more? Rent a blower from your local hardware store. That way, you can finish all the layers in a single day. So, closed on Sunday and open again on Monday? No problem with Concrete effect Paint from betonlook.nl.

How can I protect my Concrete effect Paint?

You can protect Concrete effect Paint with Paint Protect, a 100% ecological coating made from eggshells. It’s easy to apply — just one thin layer is enough — and it allows you to gently clean the wall with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh cleaning products.

Paint Protect subtly deepens the colour and slightly reduces the matte finish, giving the wall a richer, more refined look.
