A look inside a farmhouse with a hotel chic feel
Hidden among the greenery on Schuilenburg in Hellendoorn, you will find this beautiful farmhouse.
The owners dreamed of an interior that feels like a luxury boutique hotel, while still keeping the original character of the farmhouse.
And honestly... that is exactly the feeling they wanted to create.
From rural farmhouse to hotel chic
The owners instantly fell in love with the authentic details of the farmhouse. The stable windows, wooden beams and rural charm were all features they wanted to keep.
To create more light and space, the wall between the kitchen and living room was removed. The wooden panelling between the beams was also covered with plasterboard, giving the interior a calmer and more modern look.
With clay paint, microcement and a warm colour palette, the hotel chic atmosphere the owners had in mind started to take shape: warm, luxurious and still completely in keeping with the character of the home.
Loam paint Lin Lisse
For the living room, they chose clay paint in the colour Lin Lisse. This soft, powdery shade brings calm to the space and beautifully ties together the warm wood tones, bronze details and rich fabrics.
Bronze details as the connecting element
In the living room, everything is about balance. The soft look of Lin Lisse clay paint is combined with warm bronze accents that come back in different places. From lighting to accessories, it is these details that create calm, unity and that luxurious hotel chic feel.
To give the generous space more character, larger furniture and accessories were chosen. The Boston corner sofa forms the heart of the living room and is combined with robust coffee tables and large plants. This makes the space feel warm and inviting, while the furniture also perfectly matches the high ceilings of the farmhouse.
The wall behind the television also adds to the atmosphere. The Zalea wallpaper adds extra depth and texture, while the painting subtly brings back the colours of the interior. The combination of Lin Lisse clay paint, Arte wallpaper, bronze details and the Boston corner sofa creates a living room that feels luxurious, without losing its warm and rural character.
The kitchen as an extension of the living room
By removing the wall between the living room and kitchen, one large living space was created where cooking, living and relaxing flow seamlessly together.
A warm base
The same warm base continues into the kitchen. The continuous Dekton worktop creates a calm look and instantly gives the space a luxurious feel. Oxide plaster from Stone Age in the colour Bronze was chosen for the cabinet walls, adding extra depth and warmth.
The bronze details return here too. The Quooker Fusion in Bronze fits perfectly with the other accents in the home. For the floor, the owners chose microcement in colour 17 Light Taupe. This soft shade connects the different spaces and creates a calm, timeless base.
By repeating the same materials, colours and warm details throughout the home, the farmhouse feels like one stylish whole. An interior where rural charm and hotel chic luxury complement each other perfectly.
From terracotta tiles to a warm hotel chic farmhouse. What do you think of this transformation?
