Questions about Wall paint? We're here to help.
Is Wall paint the same as Lime paint?
No. Wall paint provides a smooth, even, deep ultra matt finish without colour variation or texture. Lime paint, on the other hand, creates a more natural look with subtle colour variation and a soft, cloudy effect.
Our Wall paint is currently available in the 10 most popular colours from our Lime paint collection. This makes it easy to achieve a smooth finish in our best loved shades. If you're working on a larger project of 50 m² or more and would like a different existing Lime paint colour, feel free to contact us at info@betonlook.nl. We'll be happy to discuss the options with you.
Why is the Wall paint supplied with powder pigments?
Our Wall paint is supplied with separate powder pigments, allowing you to mix your chosen colour yourself. Thanks to this unique pigment system, our Wall paint is available in exactly the same colours as our Lime paint.
Do I always need a primer?
No. A primer is only needed on highly absorbent surfaces, such as freshly plastered walls.
Not sure if your wall needs a primer? Spray a little water onto the surface. If it soaks in immediately, the wall is highly absorbent and we recommend applying a coat of EcoPrimer first. If the water remains on the surface for a while, a primer is usually not necessary.
If you use EcoPrimer, lightly sand it with 80 grit sandpaper once it's dry. This creates a smooth surface with excellent adhesion for your Wall paint.
Which surfaces can I apply Wall paint to?
Wall paint is suitable for most interior walls and ceilings, including plaster, plasterboard, concrete and previously painted surfaces with sound, well adhered paint. The surface should be clean, dry and stable before application.
How much Wall paint do I need?
On average, 1 litre covers 4 to 5 m² based on applying two layers. Actual coverage depends on the surface and how absorbent it is.
Is the Wall paint washable?
Yes. Our Wall paint has Class 2 wet scrub resistance. It's designed to withstand everyday use, and light marks and stains can be cleaned away with ease.
Can I use the same colour as my lime paint?
Yes. Our wall paint is available in the same 10 popular colours as our lime paint. This makes it easy to combine a sleek, even matt finish with a characterful lime paint finish in exactly the same colour.
Please note: the powder pigments for matt wall paint have their own formula and are therefore not interchangeable with the powder pigments for lime paint. Always use the pigment sachet with the red sticker marked ‘Matt wall paint pigments’ that comes with the wall paint. This ensures you get the right colour and the best possible finish.
